"Summerbridge changed me into a positive person, staying on track in school and at home."  - Jammie, Dunbar Middle, class of 2012
Summerbridge teachers are talented and diverse high school and college students who create curriculum, mentor students, and serve as role models.  During the summer, we work with a staff of 35-40 teachers and assistants.  Our summer internship has been ranked in the Top 10 in the country by the Princeton Review, alongside the White House and MTV.

On Thursday, April 24th, ten alumni of Summerbridge were recognized at the banquet for the Paschal Society of Academic Excellence, a prestigious group for only the top students in each graduating class. Some highlights from the evening...

Summerbridge Fort Worth is part of the Breakthrough Collaborative, a national organization dedicated to social justice in education, with 27 sites across the country.

Summerbridge students participate fully in a six-year, year-round academically intense enrichment program. There are three major components to the Summerbridge experience:
1. Summer Program at FWCD in seventh and eighth grade,
2. School Year Program during middle school,
3. Alumni Program participation during their high school years.

Each program recruits teachers and volunteers who are diverse and dedicated. Summerbridge works because teachers show that learning is fun and that it is cool to be smart.
