"Summerbridge changed me into a positive person, staying on track in school and at home."  - Jammie, Dunbar Middle, class of 2012
"When I applied to teach last summer, I was looking to gain teaching experience in preparation for becoming a teacher in the future.  I gained the experience I desired, but I also had one of the best experiences of my life." - David, University of Texas c/o 2008

Summerbridge (soon to be known as Breakthrough) is seeking a full-time staff member to work as Student Services Coordinator.  Visit this page for more information.  Contact Anna L. Hamilton at ahamilton@fwcds.org for details.
Summerbridge Fort Worth is part of the Breakthrough Collaborative, a national organization dedicated to social justice in education, with 27 sites across the country.

Summerbridge students participate fully in a six-year, year-round academically intense enrichment program. There are three major components to the Summerbridge experience:
1. Summer Program at FWCD in seventh and eighth grade,
2. School Year Program during middle school,
3. Alumni Program participation during their high school years.

Each program recruits teachers and volunteers who are diverse and dedicated. Summerbridge works because teachers show that learning is fun and that it is cool to be smart.
