Each of the three divisions - Lower School, Middle School and Upper School - present a program and facility uniquely designed to meet the developmental needs of our students. All students share many parts of the school - the libraries, arts facilities, cafeteria, gymnasiums, playing fields and grounds. Students of all ages greet each other on the shaded walks, in the Art Studio, or in the Moncrief Library and Technology Center. Older students are tutors and mentors for younger students. Shared traditions, such as a school uniform, give a sense of belonging.

Students begin in our full-day kindergarten program, built upon the philosophy that children learn best through participation. During a normal day, students move through different learning centers that introduce concepts, reinforce skills, and promote understanding. In an expansive kindergarten building specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of our youngest students, teachers focus on the work and play critical to a successful first-year experience.

Beginning in Kindergarten, all students work with computers and by first grade begin to utilize the Internet, either in the classroom or in a laboratory setting. In addition to working with the primary classroom teacher, all students receive professional instruction from faculty whose specializations include studio art, Kodaly music, library skills, foreign language, laboratory and computer science, and Dynamic Physical Education.

Excellent language arts, math and science programs integrate a broad liberal arts curriculum, enabling students to develop meaningful connections and an understanding of basic concepts and traditional disciplines. Faculty emphasize reading, writing, listening and oral communication so that students may begin not only to master skills, but also to apply them.
The Middle School program and the Mason Middle School building were designed for grades 5 through 8, recognizing the significant changes in physical, emotional and intellectual growth that students experience at this age. The 5th grade Humanities Program is designed to help students bridge the transition from self-contained Lower School to Middle School's departmentalized schedule. Grade-level faculty teams focus on each student, emphasize increasing skills in writing and math, and include instruction in English, foreign language, science, history, computer and the fine arts. Students in grades five and six learn through faculty use of exciting, age-appropriate activities and teaching strategies.

Moving to the second floor of the Mason Middle School, students in grades seven and eight are ready for the accelerated curriculum which provides the critical bridge to Upper School with traditional course offerings, extracurricular clubs, and sports. Highlights of every grade in Middle School include various field trips and over-night trips which focus on teamwork and cooperation. Grade level teams also participate in local community service programs including Habitat for Humanity, The Tarrant County Food Bank, Race for the Cure and The Presbyterian Night Shelter.
