Come see a campus alive with discovery - where the Core Values of Integrity, Kindness, Courage, Respect, Responsibility and Scholarship are woven into learning every day. One visit and you will begin to understand what makes Fort Worth Country Day extraordinary is not just outstanding programs, state of the art technology and a beautiful campus. It's our people.

It's about our dedicated and enthusiastic faculty who inspire in their students the passion to learn, the courage to lead and a commitment to serve. It’s about our students, who are some of the brightest in the country. It’s about our very active and engaged parents and alumni. They are partners in the journey of education and support the educational process, our mission, philosophy and Core Values. Together they have helped build our school and its traditions for 45 years.

Fort Worth Country Day offers an advanced curriculum, comprehensive in its emphasis of the humanities, sciences, arts and athletics. Service to the community is also an integral part of our program in grades Kindergarten through 12.

The Admissions Office works to attract and retain students from diverse backgrounds who possess intellectual curiosity, intrinsic motivation with a strong work ethic, special talents and interests, and personal characteristics as exemplified by our Core Values. Students also must have the desire and enthusiasm for full participation in the programs of the school, which include academics, arts, athletics and community service.

Everything you need to know about Fort Worth Country Day is now just a click away, but to understand FWCD, nothing beats a personal visit.

We look forward to meeting with you and your family very soon.

We are delighted you are considering FWCD for your child. The application process is outlined for you in this section, along with a checklist including deadlines and due dates.

The purpose of need-based financial aid is to enhance the student body of Fort Worth Country Day. The school attracts and retains deserving and talented children whose families qualify for such assistance. Admission to FWCD and the awarding of financial aid are two separate decisions. All financial aid is awarded annually and granted on the basis of demonstrated financial need, satisfactory performance, and the school’s availability of funds. For the 2007-08 academic year more than $1.2 million in need-based financial assistance was awarded. One out of seven students received need-based assistance, with approximately 60 percent of the awards distributed to students in Upper School.

We encourage all prospective parents and students interested in applying to FWCD to attend one or more Admissions Events scheduled throughout the fall and winter.

Prospective parents are also encouraged to call and schedule an individual appointment with the Admissions Office to learn more about the opportunities at our school and to answer questions you may have about our admissions process and criteria for success as a student.

Could FWCD be the right fit for your child – for your family? The best way to learn about us is to come and see for yourself.

Please call well in advance of the date you would like to visit so we can be sure to accommodate you, certain times of the year are extremely busy or may conflict with school holidays.

I appreciate the value of a FWCDS education. How can I afford to send my child there?

I enjoy my school because the teachers always encourage us to learn more, they make learning fun and interesting, and they are always available for questions. I love all of my classes, but my favorites are Science, History, and Fine Arts. I have made many friends through school that I would not know otherwise. All of the students in my class encourage and support each other in every way they can.

Every grade has an opportunity to learn more on a class trip. This year 6th grade went to Sky Ranch for two nights to learn more about different areas of Science. We also went on a tour of Fort Worth to see some of the historical sites we are learning about in History.

5th and 6th graders get to try all the sports offered for the 7th graders and above. That is how I became interested in field hockey, which I had not played before but want to play next year. It also lets everyone have a chance to play on a team and continue to play the sports they enjoy.

Being an ambassador of our school is very fun. We get an opportunity to meet some of the students who want to come to Country Day at the open houses. It’s also fun to know some students came to Country Day partly because of the tours you gave them during their visit.
