Responses from new parents when asked what are FWCD’s greatest strengths. Here’s what our new parents said: So far it has been the ability of the faculty to accurately assess the strengths and weaknesses of students and develop the child accordingly. That requires teacher who genuinely care and will take the time to understand each individual child. The school strives for excellence, excellent teachers, excellent academics The emphasis on the overall educational experience and being well-rounded (academics, arts, athletics, personal development, and community service Well, there’s not enough room here to comment on the greatness of Country Day. As a public school teacher in title one area, I don’t believe it would be possible to extol the virtues of Country Day, but I will say students are taught responsibility, accountability, the higher levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy is EMPHASIZED, and the communication and expectations of students are clearly outlines and enforced. The amazing faculty, the sense of community, academic excellence and tradition We love the “families” and the values that are taught to the children. Our teacher referred to this as “Country Day Behavior” and I really feel that is true. The PRIDE is well spoken in the Lower school. The combination of great academics AND athletics The way the teachers can focus on the class as a whole and the individual at the same time. FWCD produces the most advanced well-rounded kindergarteners in FW. Maybe anywhere. It’s the people, the teachers, students, administration. At FWCD we have caring and involved faculty, the supportive and nuturing environment, the progressive liberal arts curriculum. I also think the campus is beautiful. The character of the faculty and staff. The sense of family. Admissions Associate
