Our campus is beautiful. I really love all of the trees and waterfalls. Unlike many other local schools, a walk on campus is peaceful and safe.

I understand that Fort Worth Country Day School is a college preparatory school and that its students are well prepared to enter a good college or university after high school graduation. For me, though, at the end of every year, I feel confident to enter the next grade level. With the help of my fourth grade teacher, Ms. Cushman, I was ready to move up to Middle School and tackle the challenges of fifth grade.

This past year I made a mouse trap car (to learn about force and velocity) and an Egyptian temple, dissected a lamb's heart, created a Power Point presentation in French, celebrated Mardi Gras by making a float for the parade, and learned to play the flute in Band. What a fun start to Middle School!

My education is not limited to the campus. As a student, I go on field trips every year to fun places like the Omni Theater, Fossil Rim, Bass Hall, and area museums. I look forward to trips to Sky Ranch, San Antonio, and Big Bend in my future Middle School years. Community projects are a big part of Country Day too, with can food and penny drives, visits to the local food bank, and other service projects.

It's easy to forget how blessed I am to go to such a great school. In life, we tend to all take things for granted. Going to Fort Worth Country Day School is just one example.
